DOA (Dead On Arrival) Policy
Strict 72-Hour Reporting Window for Development Boards & Modules.
⚠️ Important: Please do not solder or modify any component until you have tested it. Soldered or modified items are strictly non-returnable.
1. What covers "Dead on Arrival"?
A product is considered DOA if it fails to power up or function as intended immediately out of the box. This covers manufacturing defects such as:
- No power LED indication when connected to a reliable power source.
- Visible physical damage to the PCB caused during shipping (must be reported immediately).
- Non-functional hardware (before any usage).
2. The 72-Hour Rule
Due to the sensitive nature of static-sensitive electronics, you must report any DOA issues within 72 hours of the delivery timestamp as recorded by the courier.
Claims made after 72 hours will not be accepted, as we cannot verify if the damage occurred due to improper usage, static discharge, or incorrect wiring.
3. What is NOT Covered?
We strictly reject return requests for:
- Burnt Components: Chips or regulators with visible burn marks, holes, or smell of smoke (usually caused by over-voltage or reverse polarity).
- Physical Damage: Broken connectors, scratched tracks, or snapped PCBs caused by user mishandling.
- Soldered Items: Once you apply solder to a header or pad, the warranty is void.
- Incompatibility: Buying a 3.3V sensor for a 5V system and damaging it.
4. Return Process & Evidence
To process a replacement quickly, we require the following evidence:
- Unboxing Video: (Recommended) A continuous video showing the package being opened and the product condition.
- Testing Video: A short video showing your wiring/setup and the failure (e.g., "I plugged in the official power supply, but no lights turned on").
- High-Res Photos: Clear photos of the front and back of the component.
